Neat Acoustics will be playing three new models at the Bristol Show 2025.

A new version of the tiny Iota will impress anyone who hears it with its big sound and the new Momentum models bring flagship performance to the sub-£10,000 market.

IOTA II

The IOTA II is a brand new version of the classic Iota model, which was originally launched in 2011 and quickly became Neat’s best-selling speaker.

It has been upgraded with a new bass/midrange drive unit and a revised crossover.

The original Iota delivered a performance far greater than might be expected from a seemingly impossibly small 2-way design, but these new refinements bestow even better bass extension and bigger scale, to an extent that it seems to defy the laws of physics.

As always with Neat loudspeakers, internal components are chosen with great care to attain ideal matching of the drive units. The crossover network features low tolerance air core inductors and polypropylene capacitors, all hard-wired to minimise disruption to the signal path.

The IOTA II gives an astonishing presentation of scale which suggests a far larger speaker.

The compact and stylish cabinet can be used on stands, bookshelves, and desktops in most domestic situations.

Standard finishes: Satin Black; Satin White

MOMENTUM JET SERIES

Initially comprising two models, one stand-mount and one floorstander, the Momentum Jet speakers are based on the company’s flagship Ultimatum range.

The main changes from the Ultimatummodels are the use of MDF cabinets instead of Finnish birch ply and the replacement of the dual 25mm soft dome/EMIT super-tweeter arrangement with the superlative Jet AMT tweeter.

The bass-mid drive unit has been carried over, along with the distinctive decoupled sub-baffle which helps reduce the effects of cabinet resonance.

Both models also feature the Ultimatum’s hallmark Isobaric bass loading technique for exceptionally extended and precise low frequencies.

MOMENTUM JS

This stand mount is essentially a slightly more compact and simplified version of the Ultimatum XLS. The front baffle, which is coupled to the cabinet via a polyethylene membrane, houses the tweeter and an Ultimatum type 170mm drive unit handling bass and midrange frequencies.

Inside, mounted behind the main drive unit, is another 170cm unit. The space between these units is sealed, in iso-baric configuration.

The rear port is a low-Q type, which also incorporates an acoustic filter to restrict airflow and give greater control to bass frequencies.

The crossovers are all hard wired, with point-to-point connections to maximise integrity. The components are of premium audiophile quality and include high voltage polypropylene capacitors and low loss air-cored inductors.

The Momentum J-S can be easily accommodated in small rooms, yet it is also capable of filling larger spaces with the ease of a large floorstanding model. It offers top-flight performance at a less than high end price.

MOMENTUM J6

The Momentum J6 is a 2.5-way design based on the configuration of the Ultimatum XL6. The upper section houses the AMT tweeter and Neat’s own ‘R3’ unit handling bass and midrange, thus acting as a sealed 2-way loudspeaker in its own right. This is sectioned off from the lower section, which features two downward-facing 170 mm drive units in isobaric configuration, handling only the very low bass frequencies as if it were an integrated subwoofer.

The addition of the Ultimatum style plinth gives great stability to the enclosure, resulting in exceptionally precise stereo focus.

In common with all Neat loudspeakers, the crossover components are all hard-wired, with point-to-point connections in order to maximise integrity. The components are of premium audio quality, carefully chosen for their contribution to the cohesion of the overall performance.

The Neat J-6 offers genuine high-end performance in a compact and more affordable package.
