McIntosh Labs Gains 'technical Support' From Bassocontinuo
Bassocontinuo gives support to McIntosh
Bassocontinuo’s Classic Line gains a McIntosh-inspired finish option to match the famous blue watt meters28 April 2022, Fife, Scotland (Fine Sounds UK): Bassocontinuo, the science-backed Italian equipment support manufacturer, has launched a McIntosh-specific finish option for its entry-level Classic Line (2.1) range of AV equipment supports, giving McIntosh owners a range of personalised support options for components and systems.
The new Mc Edition option is available across the entire five-strong Classic Line (2.1) range and has been created to complement McIntosh electronics with the addition of key detailing and design elements to mirror the US company’s famous signature blue watt meters.
The Mc Edition’s vibrant colour combination of blue and black has been inspired by the exclusive B by Bassocontinuo bespoke customisation service for the company’s AV supports, and includes blue side details on the shelves matched with blue washer stacks on the legs.
More information on the Classic Line (2.1)
Bassocontinuo’s goal for the Classic Line 2.1 was to create a highly versatile range, with a decidedly affordable price and impeccable technical features. Accordingly, the Classic Line 2.1 now benefits from full modularity (as seen in the company’s upmarket Reference line), enabling owners to build a bespoke equipment support specific to their needs; additional shelves can be added in the future to accommodate growing systems.
The five-strong Classic Line 2.1 comprises both hi-fi and A/V racks, plus turntable wall shelves and power amp platforms, in a range of leg heights from 90 mm to 290 mm. Each comes with a five-year guarantee.
Noting today’s diverse and wide-ranging audio equipment, the Classic Line 2.1 also offers additional shelf-height adjustment, thanks to the use of removable leg cylinders. Five and ten centimetre cylinders are available separately to seamlessly adjust shelf height if needed.
A key feature of the Classic 2.1 line is the new ‘zero-shaking’ clamp system, which adds considerable stability compared to the previous design. Further features include a new cosmetic tie-rod cover made by Delrin, plus a new spike design with a stabilising washer for fine-tuning. The Classic 2.1 line has been fully tested by an independent laboratory in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano.
In addition to Bassocontinuo’s established Cerbero Black and Iside White finishes, the company also offers Walnut and Wenge to complement (fellow Italian) Sonus faber loudspeakers, plus the new Mc Edition for McIntosh owners. The Classic 2.1 line legs are available in three finishes: dark grey, milky white and silver. The shelves are 25 mm thick with a load capacity from 60 kg.
